Willow Son is about to go on tour and of course once again with controversy.Jett guitarist for the band was recently arrested for buying pills but what he sees is not an addiction but just maybe he is in denial and watching all the hype about it just makes him angry.
Masie a dancer who has always has had hopes of staring on the big stage in New York but after some personal mistakes along the way has her teaching dance classes to kids and now dancing for a rock band that she doesn't particularly care for.
Jett & Masie have a chance meeting in the recording studio and what happens from there will lead them on one hell of a ride but what you see is the pure affection the two have for one another.
What can I say but with Jett you just get the biggest SIGH reading about the hot rocker and with Masie you get a young woman who will knock his socks off but when you put the two of the together you get one fantastic couple who truly deserve that HEA.
As I have said from the very beginning of The Brothers of Rock Series that each and every book gets better and better so whatever you do don't miss any of them.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
In this book we meet Masie and we get the whole story on Jett. In this book the question is asked can two lonely broken people find a way to repair one another? Masie is a dancer and when her original dream doesn't work out for her she agrees to take a gig dancing back up for a band called Crutch Fail. She knows they suck but it is a paying gig and for right now that is what she needs. She is hoping that this gig will introduce her to Portis and he will be able to use her dancing skills in other areas. Masie knows that she is a good dancer but she isn't looking for hand-outs she wants this to be done solely on her own merits and talent. However when one night she goes back to the studio to get her bag she happens to hear Jet playing on his guitar and it has her mesmerized. She knows she should just get her back and leave him alone but something rivets her there. Masie is cautious but there is something about Jett and she wants to know what is happening with them.
Jett has had enough of the press, the fans and everyone going over and over that one mistake. Does he know he was dumb for buying drugs that day? Yes is he an addict? No, all Jet wants is to make music and have everyone get off his back about it. So one night when he can't take anymore he hides out in the studio just him and his guitar trying to release all the built up trouble that is building within him, then he sees her. At first he thinks she is a reporter or an overzealous fan come to ask him more questions. However there is just something about her that calms him without her saying a word to him. When she does speak he knows that he has to see her again, really get to know her. But can he with everyone chasing after him for his story and to ask over and over again why he did it. He doesn't want to drag her into his drama but he does want her with him. Can Jett balance the two?
This is another amazing book in this series. This book shows that love can help heal old wounds and maybe even make sure there are no new ones. This is an amazing book and I want to tell you so much about it but as a reader I like a little mystery in my book not to find it out before I even get the whole book. I know you would enjoy this book as much as I have. It is a stand alone but I would recommend you reading Colby's book first just to understand a few of the references in this book.
The Loneliest Stage is the second of the Willow Son saga and focuses on Jett dealing with his arrest and the fact that someone he thought was a friend of sorts set him up for the arrest. His addiction and recovery involves a lot of self-reflection and honestly addressing his past. With the press and fans constantly badgering him with questions and condemnation, Jett’s recovery could be in jeopardy. The band isn’t quite sure if they should trust him or how they can or should help Jett.
Portis isn’t much help and often confrontational. To get Willow Son back in the scene and on Tour, Portis pairs them with an opening act, Crutch Fail, as an attempt to jump start the band. This band isn’t even a fifth rate band. Portis, to do something to get some interest in the band whilst on stage, has backup dancers on stage with Crutch Fail.
Masie has trained most all her life to be a dancer and misplaced trust and a poor decision ruined her first chance at recognition. She changes coasts, finds a job teaching at a small dance studio. She’s happy there with the children, but has never forgotten her dream. She takes the job of backup dancer for Crutch Fail. Refusing to make the same mistake twice she vows not to become involved with any man, to focus on her career and work hard. Masie has her own secrets and pressures that she is dealing with, trying to avoid and emptiness in her life she must face.
Jett leaves a mandated meeting wanting to fill the empty feeling with his first love and addiction, music. Working in a recording studio, just himself and his guitar, he is interrupted by Masie looking for her purse after leaving it in the studio earlier in the day. She is unnerved at meeting Jett, becomes clumsy and knocks a picture off the wall. Jett tries to chat up Masie and get a date, but she refuses to give in and bolts. Using his resources Jett finds her home address and shows up for the date he promised.
The Rockstar lifestyle comes with pressure, disappointments and touring is even more stressful. Events, arguments, and jealousies conspire to keep Jett and Masie apart and Jett is pressured to the breaking point. Willow Son is working for a comeback from being dropped by their previous label, the tour is a real chance to recover, but Jett be able to withstand the strain? Can he be truthful with Masie and more importantly, can he be truthful with himself?
